Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Guidcy, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.
2. Platform Description
Guidcy is a consultation marketplace that connects clients with verified independent consultants. Guidcy facilitates the connection but is not a party to the consultation agreement.
3. User Accounts
You must provide accurate, complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
4. Bookings & Cancellations
Sessions must be cancelled at least instantly in advance for a full refund. Cancellations within instantly may be subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
5. Platform Fees
Two separate charges apply to a booking. Clients pay a 5% Guidcy platform fee on top of the consultant's session fee. It is itemised at checkout and included in the total shown before you pay. Consultants pay a 15% commission on their session fee, which is deducted from their payout, so a consultant receives 85% of the rate they set. The client's platform fee does not reduce the consultant's earnings.
6. Prohibited Conduct
Users may not exchange personal contact information to bypass the platform, post false reviews, or use the platform for any illegal purpose.

Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly (name, email, phone), information from your use of the platform (booking history, session data, reviews), and technical data (device type, IP address, browser).
How We Use Your Information
To facilitate bookings and sessions between clients and consultants
To send transactional notifications (booking confirmations, reminders)
To improve our platform and personalise your experience
To prevent fraud and ensure platform safety
Data Security
We use 256-bit SSL encryption for all data in transit and AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest. Payment information is handled exclusively by our secure payment processor and is never stored on Guidcy servers.
Your Rights
Under India's DPDP Act 2023, you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data. Contact guidcytechnologies@gmail.com to exercise these rights.
Refund Policy
Last updated: April 2025
Full Refunds
You are eligible for a full refund if: you cancel at least instantly before the scheduled session; the consultant cancels or does not show up; or a technical issue prevents the session from taking place.
Partial Refunds
A 50% refund may be issued for cancellations made between 12 and instantly before the session.
No Refunds
No refund will be issued for cancellations made less than 12 hours before the session, sessions that have already commenced, or sessions completed as scheduled.
Processing Time
Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.

Frequently asked questions
How do I book a session with a consultant?▾
Find the experts on the Explore or Browse page, open a profile, select your session type, choose an available date and time slot, then click "Book this session." You will be taken to the payment screen, and on completion your session is confirmed with a Google Meet link sent to your email.
What payment methods are accepted?▾
Guidcy accepts all major debit and credit cards, UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), net banking from all major Indian banks, and digital wallets. All payments are secured with 256-bit SSL encryption.
What does the platform fee on my booking cover?▾
Guidcy adds a 5% platform fee to the consultant’s session fee. It appears as its own line in the checkout summary, and the total you pay is shown before you confirm. Consultants separately pay Guidcy a 15% commission out of their own fee, so that part never changes what you pay.
Where do I find my Google Meet link?▾
Your Meet link is shown on the booking confirmation page, in your confirmation email, and in your dashboard under "Upcoming sessions." The link becomes active 5 minutes before the session starts.
Can I reschedule or cancel a booking?▾
Yes. Bookings cancelled more than 24 hours before the session receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours receive a 50% refund. To reschedule, use the "Reschedule" button in your dashboard — no fee applies if the new slot is more than 12 hours away.
Can I use the same email as both a User and a Consultant?▾
Yes. Select the appropriate login type (User or Consultant) before signing in. Each role opens its own separate dashboard with different features.
How do consultants update their availability?▾
Log in as Consultant, open the dashboard, and go to "My schedule." Toggle days on or off and select preferred hours. Changes are reflected on your public profile immediately.
How long does consultant verification take?▾
Guidcy's review team typically verifies consultant applications within 24–48 hours on business days. You will receive an email once your profile is approved and live on the platform.
How do I leave a review after my session?▾
After a session is marked complete, go to your dashboard and then Session history. Click "Leave review" next to the session, rate your experience, write your review, and publish. Reviews appear on the consultant's profile within minutes.

Submit your dispute
Fill in the form below with your booking details, what went wrong, and your preferred resolution. You will receive a unique Dispute ID immediately.

Guidcy reviews both sides
Our trust and safety team reviews your submission alongside any input from the consultant. We may reach out for additional information within 24 hours.

Resolution is issued
Outcomes may include a free rescheduled session, a partial or full refund, a formal warning to the consultant, or case closure with a clear explanation.

You are notified by email
The resolution is communicated to all parties by email. Most disputes are resolved within 3 business days.
When to raise a dispute
The consultant did not join the scheduled session
The Google Meet link did not work and the session could not take place
The service delivered was materially different from what was booked
A refund was due but was not processed within 7 business days
A session was cancelled without notice by the consultant
There is a clear booking mismatch in time, date, or expert

Escalation policy
If you are not satisfied with the resolution provided, you may escalate your case to our senior trust and safety officer by emailing guidcytechnologies@gmail.com with your Dispute ID. Escalated cases are reviewed within 5 business days.
Guidcy's decisions are final for disputes resolved in accordance with our Terms of Service. We are not a legal arbitrator.
